The cause may be in the power supply, main board, control circuits or software. The faulty unit cannot be identified from the external symptom alone.
What to prepare
- The exact equipment model and serial number.
- Indicator status when connected to power and after pressing the power button.
- Whether sound, backlight, a logo or a brief image appears.
- A short video of the display and information about how the fault started.
What is checked during diagnostics
- AC input, fuses, standby supply and power voltages.
- Power-on signals, control circuits and communication between main modules.
- Main board, eMMC and boot sequence.
- Current consumption and short circuits on power rails.
Before sending for repair
Do not repeatedly power on the display after a burning smell, clicking, liquid exposure or protection shutdown. Further attempts may increase the damage.
