Display does not power on: initial checks

A sequence of external checks before disassembly. This article helps describe the symptom more accurately and does not replace electronic module diagnostics.

Limits of user checks

Without disassembly, you can check power, cables, indicators and external connections. Internal measurements must be performed by a qualified technician because the power supply contains hazardous mains voltage.

Record the display behaviour

  • Indicator status immediately after connecting power.
  • Any indicator change after using the case button or remote control.
  • A relay click, startup sound, backlight or a brief logo.
  • Whether startup repeats in a cycle and at what interval.

Safe check sequence

  1. Test the outlet with a working device and inspect the power cable.
  2. Disconnect the display for 10 minutes, then reconnect it without the OPS computer or external USB devices.
  3. Use the power button on the case. Replace the remote-control batteries for testing.
  4. Inspect accessible connectors without opening the case and check for visible cable damage.
  5. Record a short video from power connection until the fault appears.

When not to power it on again

Stop testing if there is a burning smell, clicking followed by shutdown, liquid exposure, a damaged power cable or repeated protection trips. Further attempts may increase the damage.

Information for diagnostics

Provide the manufacturer, exact model, serial number and your observations. Attach a photo of the rating label and a short startup video.
